John Derek Haworth CPO Radio Electrician (Air)
29th August 1930 - "Crossed th Bar" 22nd January 2026
John joined the Royal Navy in 1948 aged 18 at HMS Royal Arthur and served until 1960.
Served on the following Shore Establishments and Royal Naval Air Stations
HMS Ariel ( Culcheth, Worthy Down, Lee-on-Solent)
HMS Nuthatch
HMS Simbang (Singapore)
HMS Peregrine
HMS Sanderling
HMS Condor
Served aboard the aircraft carriers HMS Triumph and HMS Perseus in 1952
John left the Royal Navy as Chief Radio Electricians Mate (Air) in charge of Sea Venom and Sea Vixen Radio/Radar Maintenance
