I am doing
some historical family research, and wonder if you have any members who
remember serving with an EVAN REES around about April 1942. I am
trying to find out what ship he was on at that time so that I might be
able to find out more about his WWII service record. |

Looking for Michael O' Sullivan or 'Moj' as he was known. He
served with my dad at Portland during the late 60's or early 70's

whereabouts? We last saw him around 1979/1980 but then we moved and lost
contact. We'd really like to get in touch again. |

During my time with the Metropolitan Police as a Detective my wife (Anne
) and myself became very good friends with Barry and Marlene
SNODGRASS. Barry having served in the Fleet Air Arm. At the time
Barry was a publican in Kensington and we even met up on holiday in the
Greek islands. The last I knew of them both was when they ran the
Spotted Trout in New Milton. We would very much like to have contact
with them again. Any hope? |

Mark Hall |
Hello I am Flying Officer Mark Hall and I am the commanding officer of
775 (Burntisland) Squadron Air Training Corps. Our Squadron number comes
from 775 Squadron Fleet Air Arm, and as far as I can gather this was a
Fleet Maintenance Unit which was raised in 1940 at RN Air Station
Dekheila, near Alexandria, Egypt. Cadets from my squadron are interested
in building a diorama of RN Air Station Dekheila with some of the
aircraft maintained by the unit. Do any of your members have any
photographs or plans of RN Air Station Dekheila or can you advise of any
publications which might contain the images that I am looking for. Kind
Regards Mark Mark Hall BSc Flying Officer RAF VR(T) Officer Commanding |
